January Workshop

Disability support workers, child care workers, teachers, nurses, allied health professionals and volunteers are invited to attend a workshop on Understanding Epilepsy - an education session on epilepsy.

Date and Time: Thursday January 22 - 1 pm to 3 pm.
Venue: Epilepsy Queensland, Level 2 Gabba Towers, 411 Vulture Street, Woolloongabba.
Parking: Parking is available in side streets with a two-hour limit unless otherwsie signed.
Cost: $20.00 for members. $30.00 for non-members. Afternoon tea and resources are included.

Introduction to epilepsy
Recognising the types of seizures
Seizure management
Minimising triggers
First aid & emergency situations
Resources available
Intranasal and Buccal Midazolam Administration
Program evaluation/Presentation of ‘Certificate of Attendance’

Presenters: Education & Client Service Officer and a
registered nurse (for midazolam administration)

As there are limited places for training sessions BOOKINGS ARE ESSENTIAL.
